In a ‘credit crunch’ tricks with cash ought to appeal! And this is a very nice looking penetration of a bank note with a playing card. £12.99 |

I have recently finished reading Phill Smith’s first book - Mitox - The Falsely Spoken Word - and thoroughly enjoyed it. His approach is to the point, subtle, and suitable for use in the real world. So whilst I haven’t yet read Yokai, it is sure to be worth a look if you enjoy good mentalism. £27.50 |

I was recently re-learning my chop cup and balls routine and the combination set really does add an extra element to the routine - especially if your sleight of hand is not so hot. Here’s a nice set for £27.95. |

This is an unusual trick which I have not seen before, where a metal arm band penetrates a chosen card. Very visual. £18.95 |

I have recently been reading some classic Eugene Burger books and have been reminded again of his great thinking about magic and in particular how to perform magic that moves people. This DVD is a masterclass in presentation and will help you think more creatively about your magic. £21.95 |

The ‘Flipper’ coin was one of the first gimmicked coins I owned and is incredibly versatile. (Check out - Craig Petty’s excellent Flipped Out DVD if you want more ideas with it). Here is a good quality version for £22.95. |

| As you may know I am a big fan of Paul Harris’ Art of Astonishment books, and this DVD has some of the choice effects from the books on it. Cards, notes, even fizzy drinks. All treated to the Paul Harris touch. Ideal Magic Christmas present? £17.99 |

I wouldn’t normally recommend two DVDs in the same month, but Mark Mason’s set is worth a mention. Mark is a great performer and his magic is very entertaining. You will love watching these 2 DVDs and will learn some wonderful magic as performed in the real world. £24.99 (and if you already have this set, have you seen his new set - Decade) |

And to finish with, a wonderful close-up miracle from Jon Allen. A really visual transposition of two pairs of cards - and best of all it is easy to do. Highly recommended. Only £12.99. |
